Internationalization Bugs
Voo2do has some bugs that are especially frustrating to our international users. Fixing these is a high priority right now; I hope to have fixes applied in the next day or two.
- Non-English characters: if you use accented characters in a task description or project name, the save will fail and your changes will be lost. Until this is fixed, please use only standard English characters.
- Time zones: voo2do currently uses server time for all calculations. My server’s timezone is EST (UTC-5:00), so the further you are from America’s East coast, the more incorrect your deadline calculations will be. I plan to add a timezone setting to fix this.
Thanks to all the folks who’ve pointed out this problem, and thank you all for your patience as I fix this up. I never thought I’d have so many international users so quickly!

Can I put dates in International format, d/m/y?

Andrea,
Currently, you can only put dates in m/d/y format. I hope to add European format dates as an option in the near future, but it’s not as high a priority as fixing support for international characters and timezones.

Antelio:
The bug you experienced in Feb. 2006 was a result of a different issue encountered while setting up a new server. I have since fixed that bug too.
The original bug really did get fixed in a day or two, and that’s why so many users were disturbed when similar problems occurred recently. It was due to a mistake I made when configuring the new server, and I’m very sorry for any inconvenience that caused. Please remember that I am one person doing this in my spare time.
