Remember the Milk

New competitor! Remember the Milk is yet another to-do list manager with lots of Ajax interface tricks. I have to say though, I’ve found the navigation flow to be somewhat confusing. To do anything, you have to select a task, then click somewhere on the top or right side of the window to continue. I won’t be switching away from Voo2do, but hey, I realize I’m biased!

Of course, I use “competitor” in the loosest possible sense, because it seems neither one of us has any way to make money. In any case, I have a week off of work coming up and will be adding a number of cool features to Voo2do. So stay tuned, and keep on sending me those suggestions!

too lots! I’ve used this system 5-10 min. and this jumping-reloading-ringing pages bored me!!!
no way to use RtM… too ajaxable!

I couldn’t agree with you guys more. I haven’t been happy with Ta-da and recently signed up on RTM and with all that goodness ajax i started feeling ill.

Look like voo2d might be next!

Are you planning to add e-mail reminders? I’m currently an RTM user (just started, obviously) and I’m very impressed by Voo2do but that reminder feature is a must-have for me. (Not that I’ve gotten it to work on RTM yet…ahem.)

Yes, definitely planning on adding email reminders in the next week or two.

Why aren’t you integrating google adsense? It’s fairly polite, will show ads relevant to the user’s tasks, may even help them find tools to complete those tasks, and you can make some money that way.

IM Reminders are the reason I’m using RTM and not voo2do. Also the save thingy — I don’t want to remember to save, it should just be automatic. I realize the color changes, but it should just be automatic, and reversible (delete button) if I want to remove something.

Also, the keyboard shortcuts. Those really get around some of the flow issues you were mentioning.

    Shimon,
How about an auto-save similar to what gmail has these days?
    Thanks,
    Prem

I switched from RtM to V2D because there was no way to print out something for my boss to show what I had been working on. Using the V2D API, I know I can get the inforation back out, and using XSLT I can pretty up a report to show just how busy I have been in a meaningful way.
