Jon: I would look forward to client apps for any platform, and would probably run a Qt/KDE app myself. Let me know if you need any special support from the API or have any questions. The API is documented at http://voo2do.com/help/api. Thanks!

Hmm.. I'm not interested in creating GNOME apps, but Qt/KDE is more up my alley. Perhaps I'll look into doing that if I need a break from some of my regular projects.

I hadn't really thought it through too thoroughly - some thoughts though:

1) Try to minimize the number of icons on the menu bar - so tomboy seemed logical place to add the option (I'm not the only one -- according to the tomboy webpage --in the works they have: "Creating Evolution Todo and Task items").

2)Also would be very cool to be able to sync tomboy via voo2do - but perhaps that's getting ahead of myself.

3) Tomboy supports the creation of plugins... Not sure how - but I see the option there.

4) Eventually I think they will likely port back to win32 (it's in progress) - so could have cool little app for most platforms.

Anyways - it would be nice. I figured if I put it out there someone (smarter than I) may actually do it. Unfortunately (according my task list) I have 362.7 hours of work to do - so it might be a while until I get around to it.

Robin:

I hadn't heard of Tomboy, but it looks like it's a nice notetaking app for Unix. How could it integrate with Voo2do? It seems like tomboy is for unstructured notes and voo2do is for structured todo lists.

Would be nice if the Linux/GNOME version could interoperate with Tomboy somehow...
